We are Rooster & Hen.

We support children, families, and communities experiencing grief and loss of all kinds.
We create resources, promote awareness, and hold space.

We are here to help with an authentic approach that is infused with art and storytelling, the common language among our diverse communities.

Moving In Forever is our newest book on love, loss, and remembering a loved one forever. Based on true people and events, this book covers the topic of grief in an honest, sensitive way. The story and characters help children and adults see how to stay authentic while facing sadness, hopeful when facing loss, and joyful when facing longing. The story is based on real-life events and people who have lost a loved one under hospice care at home.

Our main workshop Process Not Prescription helps audiences and community members better understand that grief is a journey, unique to each person. Essentially, grief is a process of healing, expressing, and remembering and not a prescribed list of solutions, conditions, and expectations. We have plenty more workshops across topics and audiences, but each one centers around storytelling and sharing our authentic selves.
